Denison, Iowa (September 6, 1969) – Everett Hutchinson of Sac City won the season championship and clinched the point championship Saturday night at Denison Speedway. Hutchinson almost scored the clean sweep, winning the second heat but could only manage a runner-up finish in the trophy dash.

The B-feature, which turned out to be a demolition derby, was won by Paul Scott of Harlan with Wayne Kirk of Blair, Neb., coming in second. There were four restarts in this feature with 14 cars starting the race and only five left on the track when the checkered flag waved.

Mike Chapman of Whiting was the trophy dash winner over Hutchinson with Jim Pester of Charter Oak finishing third.
