Terry Ryan carries the checkered flag after winning the late model
feature at Quad City Raceway.

East Moline, Ill. (August 24, 1969) – Terry Ryan of Davenport, Iowa, took his first late model feature win of the season Sunday night at Quad City Raceway,
The lead in the 25-lapper changed several times between Ryan, Floyd Strube of Peoria, and Lloyd Ewing of Kewanee, before Ryan was able to gain control and take the checkered flag.
Strube would grab runner-up honors while Ewing settled for third. Another couple of Davenport drivers, Ernie Speth and Wendell Essex, came in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Heat winners were Doug Crawford of Geneseo, Ron Weedon of Pleasant Valley, Iowa, and Essex. Ray Guss of Milan was the semi-main winner.
In the novice division, Webb Duncan of Milan made it two feature wins in a row.
